I'm not sure if you asked how to label FECs that doesn't find any label to be bound for them but
If you use Cisco, you can configure it to label the Default route FEC for LDP
Router(config)#mpls ip default-route
Hope it helps

Subject: [MPLS-OPS]: Default route FEC for LDP.

Hi,

What is a router supposed to do on receiving a Label request with the FEC tlv for a default route(0.0.0.0/0)? Is it supposed to send a Notification back with status "No route" or send a Label mapping for the same? If the latter is true, what is the label?

Thanks,
Bageshri
