BOB

My understanding that the term "IGP Label" within a context of BGP/MPLS VPN
refer to the TOP label which could be distributed by LDP (between directly
connected LDP peer ) or RSVP . This to differentiate between the MP-BGP
lable which is distributed by MP-BGP ( the Bottom Label) .

The TOP label need to be recognized by all LSR in the path , so either
distributed by LDP
(between directly connected LDP peer ) or RSVP .

i guess that label distributed by targeted LDP (between non-directly LDP
peer) should not be
named as "IGP Label" ex: PWE3 signalling used LDP targetted LDP to
advertised label not at all
associated with IGP routes .

In short , "IGP Label" could be read as "TOP Label" .
The text in CSCO doc :
"Within a single network, can use LDP or RSVP to distribute IGP labels"
could be read as
"Within a single network, can use LDP (between directly connected LDP Peer)
or RSVP to distribute TOP labels ".
