I certainly believe that the demand for point to point L2 will be much
bigger than for point to multipoint. However, there is definitely a
market for point to multipoint also - whether that market is big or
interesting enough is something each provider needs to decide.

Yes, these are important issues - but are they much more difficult to 
handle for VPLS than for Ethernet over MPLS (point to point) and similar
technologies? This is not obvious to me.
