I feel i still have no clue as to how this works.  Hence all these doubts.

When the network is getting set up for the first time, do we specify the configuration to BGP i.e. which link to use for a particular traffic, what bandwidth (for TE), what drop rate and how to associate this with the FEC etc.

Once the network has all these details, I understand that the other protocols help in recovering from faults (i.e. LDP etc).

Basically i do not get a global picture of all these protocols and how they work in sync. and who plays what role and when.  Hope it is not too much to ask.  A link reference will do.

- Thanks in advance.

Why on earth would you want to do it manually?

You start by getting your normal IGP up and running. *Then* you can
start LDP.

If you want VPNs, you also need MP-BGP.
