Title: VRF design/monitoring questions

Hi,

We are using L3 vpns extensively.

Not all of our routes are in vrfs we keep the global routing table for internet routes.

For monitoring we utilize mpls aware rtr feature in a cisco router.

Subject: [MPLS-OPS]: VRF design/monitoring questions

Hi.  For those of you who utilize L3 vpn's, I have a few questions:
Do you exclusively use vrf's?  (are all of your routes vpn'd)
If all routes are vpn'd, do you run BGP in your core?
What do you use to monitor vrf's?  Anyone using the mpls plug-in for HP OpenView?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much,
Tracy Smith
