Hi All,
    We are well aware that PE Routers does Label Imposition and Disposition and P Routers just do Label swapping.
PE Routers does the above job only for the routes learned from the VPN Custcomers connected to it.
 
But P routers for the first time, also does Label Allocation  for all the PE Routers Router-ID IP address. Once the PE's receives this Label, they start using this info to forward VPN packets.

If ur label are unique end-to-end, this means that they needs to be
globally unique. One implication is that this tends to increase the size
of the label. And if we want to increase the size of the label, what is
wrong with IP address?

By the way, can someone tell me what are other advantages of labels being
local rather than global?
