dear friends I have a small query regarding WRED(weighted random early detection) and WFQ(weighted fairness queueing) the 2 QoS features in MPLS based VPN architectures .It seems that WRED monitors network traffic load in an effort to anticipate and avoid congestion and WFQ addresses situations where it is desirable to provide consistent response time to heavy and light network users alike without adding excessive bandwidth .now my question is that it seems that WRED is supported on the same interface as WFQ and we should run both of these queueing algorithms on every interface where congestion is likely to occur ie in service provider core apply WRED by IP Precedence and WFQ by service class now will there be a situation where both WRED and WFQ cannot be supported on the same interface??? or can this problem occur in the future?? or is it occuring now?? if such a situation would never occur could you people tell me why???? your replies would really help me march further in my area of research Thanking in advance Subash Thyagarajan ( Research Student) Madras Institute Of Technology India
