My name is George Usifoh, and I hold an accounting 
position with the department of Liquefied Gas Corporation (LGC) in 
Nigeria.  My colleague and I have at our disposal the sum of $15M which 
we wish to transfer to your account for investment purposes if this 
proposal meets your approval. 
 
SOURCE OF FUNDS: The fund in question 
was discovered during my weekly account reconciliation after assuming 
office.  While going through the files left behind by the former 
chairman of the Corporation, we discovered that he has secured approval 
from the Ministry of Finance a forex release to the tune of 
US$15,000,000.00 for the payment of goods and services supplied by 
foreign contractors for the execution of KUBUWA WATER PROJECT in the 
oil rich Niger Delta.  He was trying to transfer the funds to a ghost 
company abroad when he was retired by the present administration.    In 
confidence, we know that the goods and services were not supplied but 
used his office to approve the payment in favour of a ghost firm with 
no fixed address.  After his removal from office, this amount has been 
floating in the system as an unclaimed fund.  He has confided in me 
that he used his position to award the contract so as to claim the 
funds through the help of a foreign partner.  He has therefore 
requested that we should help look for a foreign partner into whose 
account the funds should be transferred.  Having gotten your 
information from a business handbook of your country discovered in my 
departmental official study, I confidently decided to contact you 
directly requesting that you play the role of a foreign partner into 
whose account the money would be paid into.  The nature of your 
business does not matter.  What is important is your ability to receive 
the funds and disburse accordingly.  I will take steps to ensure proper 
registration and secure the necessary contract documents which will 
enable you justify the payment at your bank.
