Vic,

Since you ask, here is the sample configs

In this case specific subnets are classified as QoS classes

Therefore we can either use PBR, or QoS to colour the traffic

in case of PBR method

100#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.
100(config)#route-map setdiff
100(config-route-map)#set ip precedence ?
  <0-7>           Precedence value
  critical        Set critical precedence (5)
  flash           Set flash precedence (3)
flash-override  Set flash override precedence (4)
  immediate       Set immediate precedence (2)
internet        Set internetwork control precedence (6)
network         Set network control precedence (7)
  priority        Set priority precedence (1)
  routine         Set routine precedence (0)
  <cr>

100(config-route-map)#set ip precedence 5
100(config-route-map)#int e 0/0
100(config-if)#ip policy route-map setdiff
100(config-if)#^Z
100#

100#sh route-map
route-map setdiff, permit, sequence 10
  Match clauses:
  Set clauses:
    ip precedence critical
Policy routing matches: 0 packets, 0 bytes

or use MQC

100#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.
100(config)#class-map subnet1
100(config-cmap)#match any
100(config)#policy-map setdiff
100(config-pmap)#cl
100(config-pmap)#class subnet1
100(config-pmap-c)#set
100(config-pmap-c)#set ip ?
dscp        Set IP DSCP (DiffServ CodePoint)
  precedence  Set IP precedence

100(config-pmap-c)#set ip dscp ?
  <0-63>   Differentiated services codepoint value
  af11     Match packets with AF11 dscp (001010)
  af12     Match packets with AF12 dscp (001100)
  af13     Match packets with AF13 dscp (001110)

100(config-pmap-c)#set ip dscp cs2
100(config-pmap-c)#int e0/0
100(config-if)#service-policy in setdiff
100(config-if)#^Z
100#

Then, following documents will cover, mpls vpn and sham links and other required configs

HTH

Sanjeewa

Instead of unicats, it would be great if you could broadcast so that all people would ger benefit out of that or else keep me in loop please.

Hi Jim,

It seems that you have two requirements

1. Set the diffserv bits according to your business needs (i.e.. subnet)
This can be done by ;

a) Policy based routing
b) using QoS/MQC

2. connect your OSPF network to ATT MPLS VPN network using BGP and redistribute to IGP visa versa

If the above is correct and need some help, you can unicast to me, I try to help you in best effort basis.

Subject: [MPLS-OPS]: Cisco QoS Configuration

We recently implemented an AT&T MPLS network for our company. We have to configure our routers to support QoS.  We will be setting the DiffServ bit based on the subnet that our priority application servers are connected to.

I was wondering if anyone may have a sample Cisco config for the remote routers that are using BGP, and the host router running BGP to the remotes, and OSPF on the internal network
