On the use of Q bit

Folks,

In the Next Hop Resolution Request, Q bit is set to indicate that
the requester is a router. In the reply, the Q bit is directly copied
from the request. I do not recall if this issue has already been discussed,
but the Q bit in the reply can be made more useful by making it
to indicate the nature of the replying entity. A possible use of the
Q bit in the Reply is to set it if the replying entity is a border
router. Then, depending on the local policies, this may represent valuable
information to the requesting party. This information may modulate the
QoS choice, may alert about the risk of routing loops, or it may trigger
some other policy decisions. Any comments?
